Privacy Policy

Your privacy is my highest priority. I built Dazboard to be a completely private, local-first productivity tool. I do not collect, sell, or monitor your personal data.

1. Data Collection & Storage

All data tracked by Dazboard (including your tracked metrics, target URLs, custom tags, and metric history) is stored strictly locally on your own device using chrome.storage.local. I do not own or maintain any backend servers, and your tracking data is never transmitted externally to me or any third parties.

2. Analytics and Telemetry

I do not use Google Analytics, tracking pixels, or any telemetry software inside the extension. What you do inside Dazboard stays entirely on your computer.

3. Third-Party Services (License Validation)

The only external network request Dazboard makes is to my payment and licensing provider, Lemon Squeezy (api.lemonsqueezy.com). This is solely for the purpose of validating your License Key to unlock the “Pro” features. During this process, only the License Key you input and an anonymized local device ID are transmitted to verify activation limits. Lemon Squeezy’s privacy policy governs the payment process.

4. Browser Permissions Usage

Dazboard requests certain browser permissions strictly to execute its core functionality:

• tabs & activeTab: Used only to fetch data from the specific websites you explicitly configure it to monitor. I do not track your overall browsing history.
• alarms: Used to run the background sync on your customized schedule.
• scripting: Used temporarily to let you visually select metrics on a webpage during setup.
• storage: Used to save your settings locally on your machine.

5. Changes to This Policy

If I make material changes to this policy, I will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Because I do not collect your email address, I cannot notify you directly.
